Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Instructor

Reports To: Director of Nursing / Program Administrator

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Per Diem

Job Summary

Tanya's Homecare Services LLC is seeking a committed and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Instructor to educate and mentor aspiring practical nurses. The LPN Instructor will lead classroom lectures, skills lab demonstrations, and clinical training to prepare students for successful careers in nursing.

Note: Candidates who are not currently certified as a Nurse Instructor must complete a state-approved Nurse Instructor Training Course prior to assuming full teaching duties.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging classroom instruction and skills lab training in line with the approved LPN curriculum.

Supervise students in clinical settings, ensuring safe and effective patient care.

Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and clinical rotation schedules.

Evaluate student performance through written exams, skills assessments, and clinical observation.

Provide individualized feedback and guidance to support student learning and professional growth.

Maintain accurate student attendance, grades, and performance records.

Ensure compliance with state nursing board regulations and program accreditation standards.

Serve as a professional role model for ethical practice and patient advocacy.

Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum reviews, and continuing education activities.

Qualifications

Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Pennsylvania.

Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with at least one year in long-term care or related setting.

Completion (or willingness to complete) a state-approved Nurse Instructor Training Course prior to teaching.

Strong clinical knowledge, communication skills, and organizational abilities.

Prior teaching or preceptorship experience preferred but not required.

Current CPR certification.

Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation systems.

Work Environment

Classroom, skills lab, and clinical training sites.

May require evening or weekend hours based on class schedules.
