The Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible for coordination and movement of materials within the Distribution Center and other areas; shipping, receiving, stocking, order picking, packaging, labeling, and loading product for shipment; or accepting, verifying, and recording of incoming materials from outside vendors and physically lift, place, and carry items weighing up to sixty-five (65) pounds for moderate distances.

Essential Functions

Control flow of shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to shipping and receiving

Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped

Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas; palletizing inventory from receiving bays to pallet rack stock locations

Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, @type, style, color, rack location, or product code

Assembling customer orders from stock and placing orders on pallets or shelves, preparing parcels for shipping, or relocating orders to designated areas

Read and interpret material control documents to determine required actions. Ensures that transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner

Weighing and counting items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards

Verify accuracy of paperwork and material identification. Take appropriate action to correct identified inaccuracies

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned; including facilities maintenance duties as needed

Qualifications

Must have Valid driver's license due to driving company vehicle

experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred

Have a basic understanding and ability to use Windows computer software (email, ERP software, shipping software) and print labels and paperwork to process shipments

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Excellent time management skills, organizational and communications skills are a must- both written and verbal with the ability to work independently once trained on our systems

Must be self-motivated, professional, polite, well-spoken and courteous; must demonstrate a calm demeanor in all situations

Physical Demands

May frequently be required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, or crouch

Requires the ability to lift products and supplies with repetitive motion: properly handling up to 65 pounds, reaching-lowering to ground, and left-right movements

Background requirements:
