TITLE: Product Counsel

EMPLOYER: Stripe, Inc.

DUTIES: Serve as counsel for Stripe's risk team, helping to onboard users building novel, complex products or other services on top of Stripe's platform; Work cross-functionally with Stripe's risk, partnerships regulatory, financial crimes, product, sales and other teams to understand and resolve legal, regulatory, brand and partnership risks in supporting complex user business models; Manage and advise on end-to-end projects to design improvements to existing processes and playbooks company-wide from a risk legal perspective; Work with other team members to translate regulatory requirements into digestible requirements for review and implementation by our risk and other cross-functional teams.

LOCATION: Seattle, WA (and various unanticipated work locations across the U.S.)

REQUIREMENTS: Juris Doctor degree in Law and 4 years of experience at a top law firm, in-house legal team, and/or government agency.

Position also requires the following:

2 years of experience in strong communication skills (both written and verbal);

2 years of experience in excellent project management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines;

2 years of experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple cross-functional workstreams in any given project;

2 years of client-facing experience in presenting and discussing substantive legal concepts with internal and external clients through relevant business/legal/risk lens;

1 year of experience in developing and leading internal legal educational programs; and

Experience as a Practicing attorney in the United States.

SALARY: $243,000 - $253,000/year and standard employee benefits.
