Job Duties STRIDE Academy has multiple openings for a Multi Language Teacher role. The position is based out of STRIDE Academy Elementary School in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, but may involve some additional teaching responsibilities at the STRIDE Academy Middle School in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. Develop and deliver engaging lessons that comply with state and national standards. Cultivate communicative competence and build a foundation for multilingual proficiency. Determine eligibility for ESL services by examining Home Language Questionnaires, cumulative files, and standardized test scores. Assess English reading, listening, and speaking skills. Provide opportunities for students to learn English by utilizing all resources, providing instructional feedback, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and by instruction in the four language skill areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Prepare materials and classrooms for ESL related class activities. Use relevant technology in the classroom to support instruction. Maintain accurate school records. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet student's varying needs and interests. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the educational program by offering suggestions for staff consideration, participating in department, grade level, and school meetings.

Minimum Education Required Full Requirements: Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Teaching English as a Second Language, Education, with a specialization in ESL, or a related field. Position also requires an Educator License issued by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board authorizing the applicant to teach English as a Second Language.

Minimum Experience Required One year of classroom experience (1) working with recently arrived English Learners; (2) using classroom technology programs (Clever, Rapid Identity, Skyward, PowerSchool, and/or ClassLink); and (3) preparing students for ACCESS and other state-administered assessments.
