Position Overview

SteggMeister LLC is seeking a highly organized, results-driven Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects across multiple trades. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising projects from pre-construction through final completion, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Building upon the foundational elements of construction supportsuch as site preparation, material management, safety compliance, team collaboration, and quality assurancethe Project Manager ensures that all moving parts across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and other trades function seamlessly together.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Coordination

Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines.

Coordinate activities across multiple skilled trades to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

Conduct pre-construction meetings and communicate expectations clearly to supervisors, foremen, and crew members.

Identify potential scheduling conflicts and proactively implement solutions.

Team Leadership and Supervision

Oversee site supervisors, skilled tradespeople, and construction helpers.

Provide direction, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure productivity and accountability.

Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment aligned with company values.

Ensure all team members understand project scope, deadlines, and safety expectations.

Site Preparation and Operational Oversight

Ensure construction sites are properly prepared, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Oversee the setup of equipment, temporary structures, and scaffolding as required.

Monitor daily site operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to plans.

Material and Resource Management

Plan and manage procurement, delivery, and organization of construction materials.

Ensure materials are readily available to avoid workflow delays.

Monitor inventory and coordinate with vendors and suppliers.

Control project costs by managing labor, materials, and equipment effectively.

Tool and Equipment Oversight

Ensure safe operation and maintenance of tools and construction equipment.

Verify that equipment is in proper working condition and schedule repairs or replacements as necessary.

Promote responsible tool usage and accountability on job sites.

Safety Compliance and Risk Management

Enforce strict adherence to all OSHA and company safety regulations.

Conduct routine site safety inspections and address hazards immediately.

Lead safety meetings and reinforce proper PPE usage.

Investigate and document incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications, codes, and quality standards.

Coordinate inspections with local authorities and third-party inspectors when required.

Address deficiencies promptly and ensure corrective measures are completed.

Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.

Client and Stakeholder Communication

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

Provide regular progress updates and manage client expectations.

Resolve project challenges professionally and efficiently.

Ensure client satisfaction from project initiation through final walkthrough.

Required

Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction or related field.

Strong knowledge of construction processes across multiple trades.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.

Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and labor resources.

Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and compliance standards.

Preferred

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience managing both residential and commercial construction projects.

OSHA certification or equivalent safety training.

Proficiency with project management software and scheduling tools.

Physical Requirements

Ability to navigate active construction sites, including uneven terrain.

Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Capability to access elevated or confined work areas as needed for site inspections.

Occasional lifting of materials or equipment during site evaluations.

Work Environment

Combination of field-based job site oversight and office-based planning.

Exposure to active construction environments, including noise and dust.

Regular interaction with tradespeople, subcontractors, clients, and suppliers.
