Duties of the Fiscal -- Budget Manager

Essential Job Responsibilities: The Fiscal -- Budget Manager oversees the financial responsibilities of the Engineer's office. They will oversee the development and maintenance of accounting practices and procedures of the office. The position manages accounting activities including financial reporting, cost analysis, invoicing and budgeting while ensuring compliance with regulations and deadlines.

Budgeting

[ Work with the Engineer and staff to prepare the Annual Motor Vehicle / Gas Tax Budget]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[ Track and analyze capital and operating costs on a monthly basis]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[ Prepare revenue analysis on a monthly basis]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[ Appropriate and certify funds by account classification]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

Capital Projects

[ Process contractor's pay requests for all construction projects and submit to funding source]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[ Monitor and report outside funding source balances]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[ Maintain project costs associated with each project / contract]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

Account Payables and Receivables

[ Prepare, approve and track purchase orders]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[ Prepare and post billings, receipts and journal entries]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[ Approve accounts payable invoices]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}
