Position Summary: Responsible for billing accurately fees and insurance revenues for St John's entities

Responsibilities include:

Exercises full compliance with St. Johns policies and procedures, HIPAA regulations and other relevant healthcare guidelines.

Accurately processes patient billing information and submits claims to insurance companies.

Manages and follows up on outstanding claims, denials, and errors.

Maintains Clearinghouse and/or Electronic medical record as needed for all eligibility and billing needs.

Preforms routine analysis and ensures proper procedures related to Medicare, Medicaid and other third-party payers.

Responds to residents and responsible parties' billing questions.

Identifies issues attributing to account delinquency and communicate directly with Supervisor.

Demonstrates St. Johns core organizational competencies.

Qualifications and Education Required:

Associates Degree with one to two years of billing and computer experience.

Proven experience as a medical Biller with Medical Billing Certificate preferred

Ability to work Independently and as part of a team.

Proficient in billing software and computer systems

Must obtain Medical Billing certification within one year of employment.

Must Maintain active Medical Billing Certificate while employed by St. John's. This includes completing required continuing education credits.
