The City of South Jordan is seeking a Part-Time City Prosecutor to represent the City in criminal prosecutions and legal proceedings. What You'll Do: Represent the City in criminal prosecutions before municipal justice courts, district courts, and the Utah Court of Appeals. Perform legal research and apply legal principles to complex cases. Prepare pleadings, briefs, and argue cases in court. Engage in trial and plea negotiations, conduct sentencing, and handle post-conviction matters. Collaborate with the City Attorney and other city teams to support the City's legal needs.

Who You Are: J.D. degree from an accredited law school. At least one year of full-time paid experience in the practice of law, including litigation. Active membership in the Utah State Bar and in good standing. Admitted to practice before both state and federal courts. Strong research, communication, and legal analytical skills. Ability to manage a caseload and present cases effectively in court.
