We are seeking a skilled

Manual Machinist to set up and operate conventional machines and equipment to fabricate precision metal parts according to customer specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders

Measure and verify parts using gauges and precision instruments to meet tolerance requirements

Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including but not limited to:

Lathes

Milling machines

Drill presses

Hydraulic presses

Band saws

Select, align, secure, and remove fixtures, tooling, and materials

Identify and properly use inserts, fixtures, and cutting tools

Fabricate and shape metal and other materials to specifications

Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment

Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards

Support team objectives and production goals as needed

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

2-3 years of manual machining experience

Basic computer skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong understanding of machining tools, equipment, and maintenance

Knowledge of metals, alloys, and material properties

Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing processes

Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Experience using hoists or overhead cranes to move materials

Strong attention to detail and quality control

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Capable of working independently after training

Schedule

Standard work week with flexibility for 8- or 10-hour shifts

Overtime may be required based on production needs
