Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

We provide an affordable dynamic shopping experience that inspires creativity in our community by encouraging repurposing and the creative use of salvage.

Full Time- Approx. 35 hours a week.

Wage: $19 hr.

Job Description:

Work our retail sales floor by assisting customers to locate materials, complete their purchases and/or load or unload materials.

Provide support to our receiving room manager with the intake, pricing and floor distribution of materials.

Coordinate and negotiate the pickup of materials using company owned vehicles.

Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service communication via telephone, email and in person by promptly and professionally assisting customers with their needs.

Complete the duties requested by our Receiving Room Manager that will include unloading, moving, occasional cleaning and pricing of materials.

Using Company owned vehicles, travel to pickup sites to asses building material quality and load for the safe return to our retail location.

Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner, with assistance of other team members, if needed.

Qualifications:

An ability to work in a fast paced team oriented environment.

An ability to regularly lift 50 plus pounds.

Moderate to extensive knowledge of building materials and their applications.

Prior retail experience and/or an ability to professionally engage with a variety of personalities

Willingness to work in a sometimes cold warehouse environment.

Self motivated with the ability to quickly shift from one responsibility to the next.

Basic computer proficiency.

Ability to quickly perform simple math calculations such as determining square and lumber board footage.

A willingness to work Saturdays.

Forklift experience helpful but not required. Training available. Must possess a clean driving record.
