We are a leading seafood wholesale and distribution company in the U.S. We are looking for a hardworking, motivated team player to join us as a Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Opener.

The Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Opener will be responsible for opening the warehouse in the mornings and ensuring a smooth start to the day. They will be expected to

direct warehouse and transportation

activities to ensure the efficient distribution of fresh and frozen inventory. Additionally, they will ensure the prompt and accurate receiving and delivery of our products by following standard company procedures.

Responsibilities:

Follow operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current and accurate

Ensures products are shipped, distributed, and received in an efficient manner

Recommends warehouse/material handling equipment needs and replacements, keeps track of supplies usage

Identifies the causes of product losses and takes corrective action

Maintains accurate production records, including weight tracing information

Maintains accurate receiving records

Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements

Comply with OSHA safety and health rules

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Ability to use the computer effectively including Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel)

Must be able to move into different areas of the operations to not only supervise, but also perform the task if necessary

Must have Houston Food Handling Managers Certification

HACCP, GMP, and SSOP experience required

Experience working in a seafood, chicken, or similar processing facility is acceptable

Experience in working with outside vendors such as trucking companies or supply companies

Experience with inventory control, cycle counts, shipping and receiving, production, and facility management

Bilingual a plus
