Simply Elegant Event Rentals is seeking employees that will help with delivery driving and general warehouse work. Simply Elegant supplies various party rental items such as; tables, chairs, tents, dishware, and linensfor special events, weddings, and local festivals all around the Charleston area. We are a family business that has been around since 2008, and look forward to adding to our team. Please read below for requirements and/or qualifications we are looking for, for this position.

Job Hours - Weekly

Monday 9-5

Tuesday - CLOSED

Wednesday 9-5

Thursday 9-5

Friday 9-5

Saturday 9-2

Sunday - CLOSED

** During peak season (Spring and Fall) extra work ours maybe required. Overtime hours are possible during peak season, with a rotation of night work being mandatory.

Qualifications:

MUST have VALID SC Driver's License

CLEAN Driving Record.

MUST be Drug free - random drug testing does occur.

MUST be able to list 50lbs.

Box truck experience is recommended but willing to train the right individual. Box trucks are 15-20'ft

MUST report to work on time. Attendance and Dependability is an important part of your position.

Customer Service Skills

Work in a team environment and well with others.

Ability to work in an outdoor environment.

Basic Knowledge of measurements, tools, and ratchet straps.

Must be able to count with basic knowledge of numbers.

Ability to take direction, learn, and listen.

Ability to work at a fast-paced environment.

Warehouse duties include (but not limited to):

Cleaning and maintenance of rental inventory.

Counting and sorting rental inventory.

Cleaning of warehouse facilities.

Preparing and loading delivery trucks per workorder.

Reading and checking workorders to ensure correct inventory and count.

Assisting with U-Haul rentals and trailer hookups. (will train)

Keeping warehouse organized.

Loading/unloading rental inventory from customer vehicles.

Delivery/Pickup Driver Duties include (but not limited to):

Speaking and greeting customers on site in a professional and friendly manner.

Following a diagram/blueprint/floorplan for setup of rental inventory.

Counting and sorting rental inventory.

Keeping truck clean and tidy.

Securing truck loads via ratchet straps and tiedowns.

Keeping a friendly work environment on location with clients and fellow employees.

Staying on track to get the job done in a timely manner.

GPS tracking is active on delivery trucks - staying on task with NO detours or personal errands. Checking workorders to ensure rental inventory is correct and counted accurately.

Having signature on all work orders from client.

Respect for other's property while on site.

Starting pay rate $18/hr with a 90 day review - Paychecks are weekly via direct deposit.

Uniforms are provided within 30 days.

Paid Holiday leave - one week summer vacation and various paid holidays throughout the year.
