The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store - ensuring effective execution of projects and tasks while simultaneously ensuring customers receive excellent service inside the store.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Meet Sales Goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to the sales team members.

Provide excellent service to customers.

Strategically engage with the community to help drive store traffic, increase the customer base, and increase the company's local recognition.

Sell shoes, apparel, and accessories to customers

Process transactions through the point-of-sale system - including sales, returns, exchanges, etc.

Plan for and understand business trends regarding store traffic flow, shipment flow, floor set planning, and labor needs.

Provide guidance and assist with the restocking of the sales floor, replenishing out of the backroom daily/ weekly.

Ensure the store is maintained with an organized and clean presentation.

Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.

Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.

Recruit, hire, train and mentor the store sales team.

Complete onboarding tasks in Paycor with accuracy for all new hires to your team.

Maintain the store's staffing levels, ensuring effective store coverage as is needed.

Ensure labor hours are used effectively toward sales and/or achieving store tasks necessary for the business operation, through schedule creation and schedule adjustments.

Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and use cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent.

Prepare deposits and take them to the bank (daily).

Process freight and set the sales floor as it arrives and as instructed through MyWork.

Ensure the accuracy of store payroll by regularly reviewing timecards and correcting missed punches or errors timely.

Review and approve employee timecards on a weekly basis for release to payroll.

Stay informed of company promotions and marketing campaigns, policies and procedures, and general communications by logging into MyWork at least two times a day.

Lead the team by example through regular training and continuous mentorship.

Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.

Partner with the Market Sales Director to drive the success of your store.
