Home Health Treatment Nurse Job Description

Home Health Treatment Nurses are responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in their own homes. Their duties include:

Assessing and charting observationsof the patients condition at each visit.

Completing evaluation tasks, including reviewing medication and vital signs.

Administering physician-prescribed medication.

Dressing or redressing woundsand assessing the healing progress.

Providing educationto patients and families on proper home health care procedures and strategies.

Coordinating with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other individuals in the patients care plan.

Keeping the patient comfortablethrough palliative care.
