Position: Agricultural Equipment Operator/Truck Driver

Requirements: This job requires a minimum of 6 months of verifiable prior experience operating/servicing agricultural equipment, including, but not limited to, combines, tractors, trucks (including the combination of a tractor unit with clutch and manual transmission, and semi-trailer) grain carts, sprayers, planters and bailer. Applicants must be able to furnish verifiable job reference(s) or comparable third-party documentation from recent employer(s) establishing acceptable prior experience. Workers must be able to perform all duties with accuracy and efficiency. Saturday work required. Must be able to lift/carry 60 lbs. post-hire employer-paid motor vehicle records check. Employer-paid post-hire random, upon suspicion and post-accident drug testing required. Valid driver's license required. Exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing and pulling, extensive sitting and walking, frequent stooping or bending over, repetitive movements.

Job Description:

Operate self-propelled custom class harvesting machines to harvest a variety of grain, grass and oilseed crops. Service machinery, trucks and trailers. Make in-field repairs. Must be able to operate, maintain and repair agricultural equipment with or without direction. Employer will provide, at no cost to workers, an effective means of communicating in an emergency, which may include but is not limited to a satellite phone, cell phone, wireless device, radio transmitter, or other electronic device effective in the entire geographic area where work will be performed.

Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Adjust speeds of cutters, blowers, and conveyors and height of cutting head. Clean, adjust, repair, and perform routine service on equipment (e.g., lubricating grease points, inspecting and maintaining fluid levels, checking belt and conveyor tensions, and maintaining tires, wheels, bearings, belts, and other wear parts). Repair or replace defective parts. Attach farm implements (e.g., plows, harrows, discs, sprayers) using hand tools. May assist with other general farm maintenance or repairs.

Must wear assigned personal protective equipment when required. Must report for work daily wearing work clothing and boots or other durable footwear. Workers wearing inappropriate clothing for work will not be permitted to start work.

Load and unload agricultural products or crops onto trucks. Workers with a clean driving record (no major moving violations such as but not limited to Driving While Intoxicated or Reckless Driving) and able to obtain an insurable driver's license may drive company vehicles within a 150 mile radius of the farm, which may include 6-wheel (straight truck under 26K lb.) 8-wheel (straight truck over 26K lbs) or 18-wheel truck(s) (over 26k lbs.) to haul crops, supplies, tools, and/or equipment to other farm locations and grain storage facilities on private or public roads. Requires standard driver's license. Worker may drive semi tractor-trailer truck with clutch and manual transmission, with or without combine trailers, to/from specified destinations within the area of intended employment; maneuver trucks into and out of loading and unloading positions. Haul on farm and over roads. Drive heavy trucks/trailers to transport crop to elevator, storage, or other location. Haul harvest machines between worksites. Haul and transfer grain to/between grain store(s). Transfer bulk agricultural products between facilities. Must be able to operate, maintain and repair agricultural equipment with or without direction. May drive semi tractor-trailer truck to/from delivery or pickup destinations. Drive in rain, snow, and other hazardous conditions as needed. Drive in both on-road (paved) and off-road conditions. May drive other vehicle @types. Use GPS and/or maps to navigate to destinations. Read/comprehend traffic signage and directions. Interact with roadway officials. Maneuver trucks into and out of loading and unloading positions.

Schedule: Monday-Saturday, 7:00am to 5:30pm, 10hrs daily for a total of 60hrs per week

Anticipated period of employment: 6/1/26-12/15/26

Job location: Fort Collins CO and various areas in Weld, Larimer and Boulder Counties in Colorado.

Pay: $20.02/HR, paid weekly

Effective 1/1/25: Overtime must be paid after 48 hours/week, or 56 hours/week for up to 22 "peak weeks" for highly seasonal employers.
