Certifications/Qualifications:

NYS Certified K-6 or 7-12 Science with 5-6 extensions

Leave of Absence position teaching 5 sections of Grade 6 Life Science:

An understanding of the New York State Learning Standards, and a willingness to collaborate with Professional Learning Teams is necessary

Experience teaching/working at the middle school level preferred

Preferred candidate has a positive attitude towards learning and is able to build good relationships with children, teachers and staff at school

Organized, detail oriented with the ability to multitask and be flexible

Calm demeanor, pleasant, compassionate, and collaborative

Salary per the SSTA contract
