GENERAL DUTIES:

The Staff Accountant supports the finance team by maintaining the general ledger, recording journal entries, and performing account reconciliations. They assist with accounts payable and receivable, help prepare financial reports, and support audits and to further promote the mission, vision, and client-centered service objectives of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare journal entries for various general ledger accounts Maintain and reconcile financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries Reconcile, update and maintain schedules for general ledger accounts Maintain monthly Bank Reconciliation Support and assist in month-end close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting. Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments, ensuring accurate coding and approvals. Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and financial data.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations with team members Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and EMR Systems and Databases. Communication; verbal, non-verbal, written and interpersonal Effectively works with leadership and team members. Maintain professionalism while working with confidential and sensitive information

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in accounting and related field Prior experience in non-profit organizations is a plus, but not required Strong knowledge of US GAAP Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Familiarity with various accounting ERP systems and software Must be able to pass a pre-employment background investigation and drug test and ongoing random testing.
