Part-Time | Medication Technician (Med Tech)

Currently Available Schedules and Shifts:

Evening/Midnight Shift: 6:00 p.m. -- 6:30 a.m.

Part-time | 72 hours per two-week pay period

Six 12-hour shifts per two-week period

Positions available include working every other weekend and every other holiday

The Difference You'll Make

Safely administer prescribed medications, including oral medications and, when trained and authorized, subcutaneous insulin, in accordance with physician orders and community policy

Assist residents with medication administration while monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions

Accurately document medication administration, including PRN use, effectiveness, and any follow-up interventions

Obtain and record vital signs as needed to assess resident response to medications

Maintain accurate and timely medical records under appropriate supervision

Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests, supporting overall care needs

Foster a respectful, compassionate environment for residents, families, and team members

Qualifications:

Experience Required:

Previous experience as a Medication Technician (Med Tech) required if formal training has not been completed

Previous experience as a CENA or Nurse Aide required

Experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, or direct care healthcare facility

Education Preferred:

Successful completion of an approved Medication Technician (Med Tech) training program preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Resident-centered approach with awareness and sensitivity to individual needs and abilities

Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Working knowledge of electronic charting systems and basic computer applications

Dependability and ability to follow written and verbal directions

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting and transferring residents

Professional maturity and composure in a fast-paced care environment
