OR email: nancylabonete@yahoo.com Job Duties: Provide personal care & assistance to 2 autistic adults w/ their daily activities at home and out the community, plus light housekeeping.

Assist the care recipients with their Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, shaving, personal hygiene, oral care, etc.

Implement a consistent schedule and routine as the care recipients thrive on predictability and structure (such as mealtime, bedtime rituals, time for breaks, etc.)

Take the care recipients to play dates and social groups to support and encourage social skills, communication and community engagement.

Implement strategies to manage meltdowns, anxiety and sensory sensitivities (such as doing calming hand massages, making sure headphones and sunglasses are available, prompts for redirection, speaking in a calm voice, etc.)

Administer medication and supplements, as ordered by primary care doctor; administer CPR and basic first aid, if needed.

Transport to appointments, therapy sessions, community outings and other activities using a motor vehicle.

Provide care recipients with communication assistance, making phone calls or obtaining information for them (such as setting up appointments, hours of operation of retail stores or recreational places, details of community/social events, etc.)

Participate in case reviews, consulting with medical or social service case managers, to evaluate their needs and plan for continuing services.

Light housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, laundry, doing dishes, bed making, running errands, shopping.

Provide emotional support, general companionship and general safety, at home and out in the community.
