The Service Technician is a role focused on supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This position emphasizes hands-on learning, adherence to company standards, and the development of technical expertise. Working under the supervision of senior technicians, the Level 1 technician performs routine maintenance, assists with service tasks, and helps ensure customers receive safe, reliable, and efficient solutions while maintaining a high standard of customer care.

Responsibilities:

Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Learn to install HVAC equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications, including:

Wiring both line and low voltage connections for heating and cooling systems.

Installing and brazing/soldering copper refrigerant lines for air conditioning units.

Installing sheet metal and flexible duct systems in residential and light commercial settings.

Properly connecting gas lines to heating equipment.

Receive, verify, and load all equipment and materials required for each job.

Assist the Lead Installer on the job site as directed.

Build and maintain positive, professional working relationships with team members and supervisors.

Keep assigned company vehicle clean and organized.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

HVAC certification (EPA refrigerant handling certification or equivalent) or currently enrolled in an HVAC program and working toward certification.

0-2 years of experience in HVAC

Willingness and ability to obtain required tools (tool list provided upon hire).

Quick to learn new skills and tasks.

Honest, reliable, and dependable.

Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Valid drivers license, good driving record.

Strong customer service skills; professional demeanor in customer interactions.

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment (often 100+ lbs).

Climbing, kneeling, stooping, bending, working in tight or confined spaces.

Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot or cold), dust, possibly chemicals used in HVAC work.

Flexibility to work beyond business hours.
