We are seeking an experienced, highly organized

Legal Operations Manager

to scale our in-house legal operations function. The ideal candidate will support our in-house counsel to optimize and streamline legal operations including contract management, compliance, legal research, and the preparation of legal documents.

This role will serve as a key partner to our cross functional compliance, security, finance, HR and operational teams by managing projects, oversee vendor relationships, implement knowledge management systems, and develop analytics to support data-driven decision-making.

You should have a keen understanding of legal operations and the ability to translate complex legal and technical concepts into actionable operational strategies, with a particular focus on supporting contract management, intellectual property, compliance and research security initiatives.

You will serve as a critical partner to the Legal, Research Security, and cross-functional teams, driving operational excellence and strategic initiatives. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our legal operations run smoothly and efficiently, with a strong focus on SaaS-related legal matters such as software licensing, data privacy, and intellectual property.

What You Will Do

Contract Management

Assist in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and revising SaaS agreements, NDAs, vendor agreements and other legal contracts.

Manage the lifecycle of customer and vendor contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and maintaining records of all company contracts.

Serve as a point of contact for contract-related inquiries from internal departments and external counter-parties. Organize and maintain the companys contract management system, ensuring all agreements are properly filed and accessible.

Legal Research and Compliance

Conduct legal research on topics related to SaaS-specific regulations, including data privacy (GDPR, CCPA), artificial intelligence, intellectual property rights, and software licensing.

Assist the legal team with preparing responses to legal inquiries, proposals, assessments, and audits.

Support the compliance team with maintaining up-to-date policies and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

Monitor changes to applicable laws and ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations affecting the SaaS industry.

Vendor and Customer Support

Assist with the management of legal matters involving third-party vendors, including reviewing and maintaining vendor contracts.

Support the legal team in responding to legal requests, including contract negotiations and handling legal inquiries.

Legal Operations Support

Assist with the implementation of legal technology solutions, including contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms, equity management, and compliance tracking tools.

Maintain and update legal templates and playbooks used by the companys legal team and other departments.

Provide administrative support to the legal department, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and organizing files.

Work closely with internal teams, including sales, finance, product, and operations, to ensure contract terms and organizational policies and processes are understood and adhered to.

Prepare regular reports on matter management, contract status, compliance issues, and other relevant metrics.

What You Will Bring

4+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a high-growth SaaS or tech company.

Bachelors degree or Paralegal Certification from an accredited program.

Familiarity and substantial experience with SaaS agreements, software licensing, and technology-related legal issues.

Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and compliance requirements in the SaaS industry.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various departments and external clients.

Proficiency with legal technology solutions, including contract management systems, document management platforms, equity management platforms and e-discovery tools.

What Will Make You Stand Out

Familiarity with SaaS contract structures (e.g., subscription agreements, service-level agreements, and NDAs).

Experience working with contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms such as Ironclad, DocuSign, or similar.

Knowledge of intellectual property laws, software licensing agreements, and other SaaS-specific legal issues.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
