Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities:

Oversee daily cash monitoring and reporting across multiple accounts (13+ accounts)

Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including coding, approvals, check runs, invoicing, and collections

Handle journal entries and perform monthly financial close duties across all entities

Maintain and reconcile accounts within QuickBooks

Coordinate with third-party providers for payroll and HR-related tasks

Support onboarding for new hires (typically 5 or fewer per year)

Track payroll expenses and record in the general ledger

Assist with GAAP audit-readiness projects and occasional tax-related tasks

Serve as a point of contact for office-related vendors (HVAC, security, etc.)

Help foster a collaborative, well-staffed, and fun office culture

Senior Accountant Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment

Strong knowledge of QuickBooks

High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills

Comfortable navigating multiple systems and businesses

Confident communicator with a collaborative, team-first mindset

Creative, strategic thinker who thrives in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment

Must be based near Columbia, SC 29205 and able to work fully onsite, with flexibility as needed
