Experience:

Previous experience in medical billing or a similar financial role is preferred. Familiarity with insurance billing procedures and regulations is an advantage.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Additional education or certification in medical billing or healthcare administration is a plus

Language: English required (Spanish is a plus) to communicate with clients and staff.

Bilingual preferred

Driver's License: Not a factor

Requirements:

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Knowledge of medical billing software is desirable

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to interact professionally with clients and team members

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to identify billing discrepancies and work towards effective resolutions

Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Duties:

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our clients' billing processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Billing and Posting Clerk

Billing Management

Process and prepare invoices and billing statements for clients accurately and timely

Ensure compliance with established billing standards and regulations

Record all patient payments and insurance reimbursements accurately into the accounting system

Reconcile discrepancies and ensure correct account balances

Review and verify billing data for completeness and accuracy

Ensure that all necessary documentation is gathered and complete before invoicing.

Assist in reconciling any discrepancies or issues with accounts

Work with clients and insurance companies to resolve billing errors or disputes.

Maintain regular communication with clients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to facilitate smooth billing operations. Address any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
