Who We Are Looking For

Were seeking a dedicatedMortgage Lenderto join our growing team. In this member-facing role, youll originate and process first and second mortgage loans - providing expert guidance, ensuring compliance, and delivering a smooth and supportive experience from application to closing.

Overview:\ The Mortgage Lender is responsible for originating and processing first and second mortgage loans, including purchases and refinances. This role guides members through the lending process - ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality service. It also plays a key role in promoting credit union products, supporting regulatory requirements, and engaging with the community to develop business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Originate and process real estate-secured loans from application

through closing.

Conduct member interviews in person, by phone, or electronically;

assist with completing loan applications and gathering documentation.

Order and review credit reports, appraisals, title work, and income

verifications.

Prepare and deliver all necessary loan disclosures and documents for

both approved and denied applications, including HMDA data.

Coordinate with members, title companies, and real estate agents to

schedule closings and collect fees.

Ensure files are complete, signed, and compliant with policies,

procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain working knowledge of lending regulations, products, and

internal systems.

Promote appropriate credit union products and services to meet

member needs.

Support marketing efforts, attend community events, and build

realtor and partner relationships.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the lending function.

Qualifications:

13 years of experience in mortgage lending, loan origination, or

processing preferred.

Working knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and documentation

(e.g., RESPA, TRID, HMDA).

Experience with lending product design, system configuration, and

regulatory compliance is a plus.

Proficient with loan origination systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong

member service focus.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage

multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and

collaboratively within a team.

Community involvement and relationship-building experience is

preferred.

NMLS registration (or the ability to obtain it) may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From \$27.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
