Medical Receptionist / Clinic Front Desk - Part-Time

Proximal50 is hiring a part-time Medical Receptionist / Clinic Front Desk team member to support our physical therapy clinic in Bismarck, ND. This position provides front desk, patient services, scheduling, customer service, and administrative support in a gym-based physical therapy and wellness environment.

With two Bismarck locations, the Life Center and the Downtown Warehouse, Proximal50 also offers personal training, group fitness, sports performance training through P50 Athletics, DEXA scans, VO Max testing, and RMR testing.

While this position is primarily focused on supporting our physical therapy clinic at the Life Center, this team member will be part of the larger Proximal50 team and should be comfortable learning about the different services we provide.

Job Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner

Assist patients with check-in and check-out

Answer phones and direct calls appropriately

Assist with patient scheduling, appointments, and general questions

Maintain accurate patient records and update contact and insurance information

Collect co-pays and process patient payments

Organize paperwork, intake forms, and other daily administrative tasks

Maintain a clean and organized clinic front desk and waiting area

Assist physical therapists and clinic staff with administrative and overflow tasks as needed

Communicate effectively with patients, physical therapists, and other team members

Maintain patient confidentiality and handle information in accordance with HIPAA

Help maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming clinic environment

Qualifications

Previous customer service, receptionist, front desk, or administrative experience is preferred but not required

Healthcare, medical office, physical therapy clinic, fitness, or wellness experience is a plus

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Friendly, dependable, punctual, and professional

Organized and detail-oriented

Comfortable using phones, computers, and basic office equipment

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Available Monday through Friday

Able to occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 20 pounds

Position Details

This is a permanent, part-time, onsite position at the Proximal50 Life Center in Bismarck, ND. The position reports to the Clinic Coordinator and requires Monday through Friday availability.
