Position Title: Accountant*

With daily reporting responsibilities to the Controller, the Accountant is the staff member responsible for the internal day-to-day financial operations of the organization. The Accountant is responsible for processing all accounts payable, accounts receivable including collections, invoicing, estimating, bank statement reconciliation and assist in preparing financial statements. This individual will also perform various duties assigned by the Controller and work collaboratively with tall team members in support of corporate accounting matters.

Responsibilities:

Understand and represent PRI 's mission, vision, and values to all internal and external customers

Engage clients in appropriate communication that manages client expectations and builds a collaborative relationship with the client

Interact with government and private sector clients, partners, and PRI staff in a professional and accountable manner, and as a representative of PRI management

Interact with project team members in order to successfully fulfill contract obligations with the highest quality and in a timely manner meeting PRI 's ISO requirements

Instills integrity throughout the organization via active participation in ISO requirements including but not limited to timely submission of Corrective Action Plans for all matters in which either PRI standards and/or corporate contract standards have not been met. Communicating outcomes to team members to ensure a positive, open, environment which mitigates risk and achieves a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement.

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Prepare Cost Reports and Invoices as specified for each contract or unit

Reconciliation of all bank statements

Assist with preparation of month and year end financial statements

Providing data to the Controller regarding assigned entities

Assist with the accounting functions, reconciliation process, and audits

Maintain the timekeeping system including employee and group maintenance and timely closing of payroll information for each reporting period

Assist the business development team and program managers with preparation of costing for proposals

Assist management in the preparation of budgets and other cost analysis

Other projects and corporate accounting matters as directed by the CFO and other management.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and aptitude for other accounting software.

Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal communication skills

Excellent writing skills

Ability to multitask several projects at any given time

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with team members to meet department goals

Good problem solving abilities

Must have no conflict of interest (COI) as defined in 1154(b)(1) of the Social Security Act (SSA)

Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Security Clearance
