Job Overview

As a Direct Care Worker (DCW), you will provide compassionate and personalized care to

individuals in their homes, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensuring their

comfort and safety. Your role will involve fostering a supportive and caring environment that

enables clients to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming,

dressing, and toileting.

Mobility Assistance: Help clients with transferring from bed to chair, walking, and other

mobility needs.

Medication Assistance: Remind clients to take their medications on time and assist with

the administration of medication as directed.

Meal Preparation and Feeding: Prepare nutritious meals, assist with feeding, and

ensure proper hydration.

Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and

organizing, to maintain a safe and tidy environment for the client.

Companionship: Offer companionship to clients through conversation, recreational

activities, and providing emotional support.

Document Care: Keep accurate records of daily activities, client progress, and any

changes in health conditions as required.

Transportation Assistance: Provide transportation to medical appointments, errands, or

community activities, if applicable and within your scope.

EVV Compliance: Use Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) systems to track working hours

and ensure accurate record-keeping of care provided.

Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in the client's condition, including

physical, emotional, and behavioral health.
