Medical assistants provide physician support services involving clinical tasks such as maintaining patient records (EMR), intake, preparing patients and patient rooms for examination, and assisting physicians with exams.

** Certified and/or Registered MA preferred but will consider applicants who have had 1-year experience in a Medical Assistant role.

Responsibilities for Medical Assistant**

Check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to update

and maintain patient records

Preparing patients for examination with doctor

Collect medication and medical history from patients

HIPAA and OSHA compliance

Administer injections and vaccinations

May perform routine specimen collection and tests

Prepare equipment, supplies, and physician trays for examination

rooms

Clean instruments

Clean patients rooms as applicable

Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams

Manage inventory of medical supplies and restock exam rooms with

appropriate supplies

Environment/Physical Demands

Medical Assistants spend a great deal of their professional day walking, standing, bending, and moving, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. It is reasonable to anticipate lifting 20-25 pounds in any given day. Positions support large family practice clinic.
