A chiropractic assistant primarily supports the chiropractor by managing patient records, scheduling appointments, preparing exam rooms, assisting with chiropractic treatments, and performing administrative tasks, all while maintaining a clean and organized office and prioritizing excellent patient care.

Key responsibilities may include:

Patient care:

Greeting patients and escorting them to exam rooms

Preparing patients for chiropractic adjustments

Assisting the chiropractor during treatments by positioning patients and handing instruments

Applying modalities like ice packs or electrical stimulation as directed

Administrative tasks:

Scheduling appointments and managing patient calendars

Maintaining patient records, including medical history and treatment plans

Answering phone calls and managing patient inquiries

Maintaining office inventory

Office Operations:

Keeping the office clean and sanitized

Maintaining the appearance of the office

Sterilizing equipment and supplies

Required Skills:

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients

Strong organizational skills to manage appointments and patient records efficiently

Detailed-oriented to ensure accuracy in patient information and treatment plans

Basic understanding of medical terminology and anatomy

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
