Cleaning and Sanitation Professional Position Overview:

PlanITROI is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Cleaning & Sanitation Professional to ensure our manufacturing facility is kept clean, safe, and compliant with health, safety, and environmental standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a productive and healthy work environment by performing thorough cleaning, sanitation, and waste management in production areas, common spaces, and offices. This role reports to the Director of Operations.

Full-Time: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of manufacturing floors, production equipment exteriors, break room, restrooms, offices, and common areas.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces following facility cleaning protocols.

Remove trash, recycling, and production waste safely and promptly.

Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums.

Replenish supplies (paper towels, soap, sanitizer, cleaning products, etc.) as needed.

Follow strict safety guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Maintain cleaning logs and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and facility sanitation standards.

Collaborate with the production team to minimize disruption during cleaning activities.

Identify and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.

Manage deep cleaning projects and seasonal sanitation tasks.

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing facility cleaning is needed.

Familiarity with sanitation protocols and safe chemical handling.

Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods

Work Environment

Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations.

Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and masks.

Standing and walking for most of the shift; lifting to 50 lbs. occasionally.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $15.00-$16.00 per hour.
