Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee and participate in day-to-day accounting functions, such as payroll, PTO, accounts payable and receivable, and bank statement reconciliation

Coach/mentor accounting clerk(s)

Summarize current financial status by preparing and presenting information for balance sheets, profit and loss statements, monthly financials and other reports (Daily Cash Report, etc.)

Create and maintain the budget

Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information

Create plans of action for improved financial well-being, which lead to cost reduction, enhanced revenue and improved profits

Forecast

Research, interpret and apply up-to-date accounting methods, policy and regulations

Maintain company data and procedural confidentiality

Work closely with a CPA firm to ensure federal, state and local financial legal compliance

Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents and filing backups

Work with other departments to create procedures and workflows that promote efficiency and productivity
