Office Administrative Specialist

This position with Perkins & Co provides an excellent opportunity for an accounting student to gain exposure to life at the firm, experience a busy season, build relationships, gain experience working in a professional office environment, and perform basic level tax quality assurance work.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate meeting services, including placing catering orders, setting up rooms, and ensuring AV equipment is ready

Provide administrative support to the Tax department by reviewing tax forms and scanning documents

Greet visitors, manage access badges, and handle phone inquiries

Keep meeting rooms and common areas organized, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment

Assist with mail processing, package handling, and inventory management

Provide backup support to team members as needed

Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

Must be available to work in the office 40 hours per week (and possible overtime) beginning early February to April 15, 2026

Working knowledge of basic office technology and software (MS Office Suite)

Familiarity with tax documents such as 1099/K1s preferred, but not required

Must have high integrity and trustworthiness

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

The ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

A proactive, "can-do" attitude with the ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
