Warehouse Supervisor

Reports To:Manager - Directs and Warehouse Operations

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Warehouse Supervisorto lead warehouse and materials operations supporting refinery reliability, safety, and production goals. This role is responsible for inventory control, procurement coordination, vendor management, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements while ensuring material availability for maintenance and operations.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, inventory optimization expertise, and a working knowledge of SAP and industrial supply chain practices.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse and Inventory Management

Oversee daily warehouse operations, including spare parts availability and material flow.

Maintain inventory control for over

29,000+ line itemswith an approximate value of $33M+.

Optimize inventory levels to balance availability, cost control, and taxable valuation.

Conduct annual physical inventories and semi-annual critical spare inventories.

Identify surplus and dead stock and develop recommendations for inventory reduction.

Procurement and Vendor Coordination

Procure non-inventoried materials, equipment, and supplies.

Administer and manage consignment and Vendor Stocking Program (VSP) agreements.

Coordinate material repairs and repairable spare part processes.

Interface with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve material, pricing, and delivery issues.

Ensure DOT-regulated hazardous materials are shipped in compliance with federal requirements.

Leadership and Cross-Functional Support

Supervise warehouse personnel and contracted resources, including inventory coordination and storekeeping staff.

Serve as backup Logistics Coordinator within the Refinery Emergency Operations Command (EOC).

Participate in emergency response, hurricane preparedness, and alternate staffing plans.

Provide vacation and peak workload coverage for inventory coordination functions as needed.

Process Improvement and Systems

Lead SAP utilization reviews and transaction standardization initiatives.

Develop and improve Min/Max inventory processes.

Support standardization of warehouse procedures across multiple sites.

Collaborate with maintenance teams to implement kitting and material staging best practices.

Develop reporting on warehouse spend, usage, and critical materials.

Qualifications and Experience

Required

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum

3 years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in an industrial or refinery environment.

Strong working knowledge of

SAP, e-sourcing tools, and advanced Excel.

Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred

Experience in a global or multi-site purchasing organization.

CPSM or similar professional certification.

Experience supporting turnarounds, emergency response, or high-hazard industrial operations.

Work Environment and Expectations

Regular on-call responsibilities.

Extended hours during turnarounds or unplanned operational events.

Up to

10% travel.

Interaction with internal departments, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

Work performed in compliance with site policies and state and federal regulations.
