Oliver's Candies is a family owned candy manufacturing company that has been around since 1932. We are currently looking to fill a part time accounting/bookkeeping position. It would be around 20-30 hours each week and the hours can be flexible (between 8 am to 5 pm) to work around your schedule.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Associate's Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or similar field (not required, but helpful)

At least 1 year of relevant, hands on accounting experience

Proficient in QuickBooks as well as Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently on assigned duties, self-motivated

Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

Duties related to accounts receivable and accounts payable functions

Creating invoices for wholesale, retail and corporate customers

Reconciling credit card statement

Receive wholesale orders from customers and create Excel sheets for orders

Analyze financial information in order to identify discrepancies and resolve them in a timely fashion

Maintain confidentiality of all financial data

Process monthly sales tax payments to comply with any federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements

Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards

Prepare and process journal entries such as daily sales for two retail store locations

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 30 per week
