The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically strong, and comfortable working both on the production floor and with data systems. This position offers direct exposure to real-world manufacturing processes, tooling validation, and quality assurance systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Manufacturing Auditor Associate supports production and quality teams by validating that manufacturing processes, tooling, and documentation meet internal standards, engineering requirements, and customer specifications.

This role focuses heavily on auditing, process verification, and documentation accuracy. The Intern will work closely with operators, engineers, and quality personnel to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Safety

Follow, model, and uphold all safety standards and protocols

Process & Work Instruction Audits

Validate that parts are manufactured according to work instructions

Audit operators to ensure adherence to documented processes

Perform quality checks to confirm work instructions are being followed

Identify discrepancies and escalate issues appropriately

Tooling & Equipment Audits

Audit tooling to ensure proper identification and storage location

Perform inspections to verify tooling remains within specification

Document tooling condition and report out-of-spec conditions

Print & Documentation Verification

Verify that engineering print revisions match purchase orders

Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Ensure documentation accuracy across production processes

Gauge & Measurement Audits

Audit gauges and measurement tools against master lists

Verify gauges are located correctly and available as required

Ensure gauges are calibrated and properly maintained

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Assist in writing and updating SOPs and work instructions

Improve clarity and usability of production documentation

Data & Reporting

Utilize Excel to track audit results, discrepancies, and trends

Analyze data to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities

Maintain accurate audit records and documentation

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Work with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues

Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing processes

Provide feedback to improve efficiency, compliance, and product quality
