REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports to Finance Director

JOB SUMMARY: Assist Finance Director in the agency financial operations.

JOB DUTIES: Assists in preparation of grant applications and budgets for fiscal management, including development of Agency Budget.

Assist in general ledger, accounts payable and payroll on Centers computerized accounting system.

Prepares invoices for input and checks in accounting system.

Assists in preparation of financial reports.

Assists in financial audits.

Assists in reconciliation all NRCIL bank accounts.

Assists in preparation of monthly and quarterly reimbursement requests for agency grants.

Prepare payroll, payroll taxes, and assists in quarterly and annual reports.

Prepares annual W-2s and 1099s

Participates in NRCIL staff meetings and other activities.

Actively promote disability rights and independent living philosophy through all activities conducted within and on behalf of NRCIL.

Collaborate with coworkers to involve consumers in providing directions to NRCIL programs and participating in the center advocacy efforts and activities.

Actively cooperates with NRCIL staff to achieve the Centers mission as directed by the Executive Director.

COMPUTER APPLICATIONS: Quick Books, Windows operating systems, MS Office applications, E-mail knowledge & etiquette.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: AAS Degree in accounting and 2 years work experience preferred or combination of education and experience that demonstrates ability to carry out job duties. Computer and accounting experience. Ability to work independently, organizational ability and clear, effective communication skills. Personal experience with a disability a plus. Must respect the rights of individuals with disabilities and the independent living philosophy.
