This is a full on-site, hourly position $16.01/per hour located in Wellsville, NY

Primary Duties:

Use a variety of material handling equipment (carts, dollies, powered industrial truck, etc.) to move various items and materials within department and or between departments.

Receive / obtain / handle products, components, materials, and containers from various locations both internally / externally to the departments. Place items and materials into the correct inventory locations & perform applicable system transactions.

Load and or unload items / materials as applicable to / from commercial vehicles (delivered materials to be evaluated for transportation damages; shipped materials packaging / secured to prevent damage).

Follow and observe company and regulatory, safety policies, procedures and regulations. Use caution in the movement, stacking and unloading of materials and / or pallets.

Follow / observe / apply hazardous materials training, procedures, regulations, etc.

Follow / observe company security policies / regulations.

Open cartons and or band / close carton flaps for receiving / delivering product and materials within or between departments.

Products / components / materials to be placed / stacked in correct floor or storage locations.

Remove / deliver empty and or full containers to required operations or storage areas.

Remove containers of scrap from operations, dispose scrap to proper barrels / locations, and provide empty scrap containers to identified operations / areas.

Assist / perform monthly and yearly inventory counts.

Assist / perform activities in coordinating and expediting production orders.

Keep machines, equipment, and work area clean and orderly for operational and work force safety benefits.

Keep any production and or quality related records.

Employee is responsible for operational productivity, continuous improvement / suggestions and involvement.

Employee is responsible for product, function, quality, and job safety. This requires the employee to maintain a full working knowledge of the performance, quality and safety requirements of the function being performed.

The employee is to support job related operational training needs regarding existing and or new manufacturing practices / processes / technologies.

Perform any other duties related in nature that may be assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Sustain acceptable attendance levels on a regular basis

Ability to follow directions, be detail oriented and highly consistent

Must be able to single lift 30 -- 50 pounds as needed

Strong basic mathematical ability

Dexterity skills required to sort and count inventory, and operate required pallet jacks and forklifts

Must be able to work independently yet be a good team player and trainer as needed

Able to adapt to fluctuating workflows, hours, and overtime requirements when necessary
