QC Inspector

Job Summary:

Norman Filter Company is a quality design and manufacturer of aerospace grade filtration components and is seeking to fill a position in the Quality Department group. Full time position will be responsible for various Quality Control tasks to support the production and testing departments and will report to the Director of Quality.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform in-process visual inspections of piece parts, sub-assemblies

and assemblies, ensuring parts meet NFC workmanship requirements.

Perform dimensional measurements using calipers, micrometers, thread

gauges, and other measurement equipment.

Utilize a Faro Arm and Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) to make

complex dimensional and GD&T measurements.

Spot audit production packages ensuring good documentation practices

are followed.

Initiate non-conformities when parts do not meet requirements.

Work within the gauge and calibration process to ensure gauges are

processed for calibration in a timely manner.

Review and archive Quality Control receipt documents from vendors.

Secondary Responsibilities

Perform dimensional inspections for both received and in process

parts.

Perform quality control tests specific to filter components and

pressure vessels.

Perform quality control monitoring activities to ensure processes

are in control.

Perform visual inspections of welds for common defects.
