New Bethel Baptist Church is seeking to fill a maintenance position to assist in maintaining the church property with emphasis on moderate repair and maintenance.

Skills:

Use of various janitorial tools and lawn care equipment

Physical stamina to handle lifting and moving furniture

Strong communications skills

Detail oriented

Ability to lift at least 50lbs

Functionality (kneel, stand, climb, work within tight spaces)

Self-starter

Duties:

Cleaning of all rooms in all parts of the facilities

Cleaning of all bathrooms

Mopping hallways

Buffing hallways and all rooms

Picking up debris and cleaning snow from the ramp and sidewalks

Keeping doors and windows clean

Seasonal cleaning

Maintaining a clean church entrance, sidewalk, and parking areas

Checking with custodian daily for special assignments

Moving furniture, setting up tables and chairs for meetings, suppers, and similar occasions

Setting up and assembling of classrooms for regular activities

Cleaning specific areas of the church after special events

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent

Must have valid Driver License

Must have 1 to 2 years maintenance experience (related experience in plumbing, electrical, and / or carpentry is acceptable)

Additional Details:

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Hours: 8:00am -- 12:00pm

Hourly Wage: $11.00
