This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the Union.

DEPARTMENT: Purchasing

HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

LOCATION: 632 W. 6th Avenue, 5th floor, Anchorage, AK 99501

Employees who are hired or rehired to any position shall be placed at the entrance pay step, and advancement from the entrance step to the maximum step within a pay grade shall be by successive steps.

Remote work schedule opportunities (telecommuting) may be considered after successful completion of probation, at the discretion of management and with the approval of the department head. Not all positions are eligible for remote work (telecommuting) per PandP 40-40.

Preferences

National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM) or National Institute of Governmental Purchasing Official (CPPO) through (NIGP) certification
