Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and report cash management activity to senior staff.

Reconcile bank accounts and deposits; resolve bank-related inquiries.

Reconcile cash disbursement, customer, and other financial accounts.

File tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.

Manage the flow of financial information to ensure accurate customer activity reporting.

Perform general cost accounting and related financial duties.

Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Maintain the general ledger through accurate journal entries and adherence to accounting principles.

Verify and ensure accuracy of borrower ACH/wire account information.

Code and enter invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end close.

Process and verify invoice payments, ensuring proper account charges.

Support annual audits by providing required documentation and account details.

Stay up to date with accepted accounting practices and procedures.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Assist with special accounting projects or financial analyses.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Solid understanding of general financial and cost accounting principles.

Ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Proficiency in preparing accurate tax reports.

Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.

Comfortable working with spreadsheets, word processing tools, and automated workflows.

Demonstrated initiative with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
