The Morgan County Sheriff's Office is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant. This position provides essential administrative and clerical support to the Sheriff and command staff, ensuring the efficient daily operations of the office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Preparing, typing, and editing reports, correspondence, and official documents

Maintaining accurate records and filing systems

Assisting with budget preparation and financial tracking

Scheduling, organizing, and coordinating meetings and presentations

Preparing documents and reports in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Providing general office support, including answering phones and assisting the public

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required)

Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a related office support role

Strong typing and data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Basic financial background with the ability to assist in bookkeeping, tracking expenses, and budget-related tasks

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position
