For more information about Modine, visit modine.com.Position DescriptionPosition: Material HandlerDepartment/Sector: Production- Electrofin E-CoatReports To: Production Shift SupervisorPosition Purpose:The Material Handler will enable basic functions for coil preparation on the batch, monorail and the crating process by performing the following duties.Key ResponsibilitiesScope:The Material Handler reports directly to the shift supervisor and is responsible for the following activities: Follows published work instructions, quality procedures, and safety protocols Opens/Closes crates or containers containing coils or other customer products Inspects coils for any signs of damage or conditions related to quality assurance/quality control Attaches identifying tags or labels to coils or marks information on crates, pallets, or other containers Reads work order or follows oral instructions of lead person to ascertain coils or containers to be moved, hung or crated in the work area Secures or removes lifting attachments Lifts coils, by hand, as necessary to load or unload load/basket bars or monorail hang points Cleans work area and equipment as instructed Other duties may be assignedRequired Education & QualificationsQualifications/Education/Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School diploma or general education degree (GED); entry level, prefer three to nine months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The individual must have the ability to read and understand safety instructions, work instructions, and company policies and procedures; to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions; and to add, subtract, multiply and divide. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Principal Accountabilities:1.
