The Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM) is seeking a Community Growth Fellow to serve with the Lake County Economic Development Alliance (LCEDA) in Baldwin as part of the 2026--2027 Community Growth Fellowship Program.

This 15-month fellowship offers the opportunity to make a real impact in Michigan communities by supporting local economic growth, resilience, and collaboration. Fellows are full-time CEDAM employees who work on-site with their host organizations while receiving extensive professional development and statewide networking opportunities.

About the Role

As a Fellow with LCEDA, you'll work alongside local and regional partners to help strengthen Lake County's economy through entrepreneurship, workforce development, housing, and tourism initiatives. You may help:

Develop an entrepreneurial hub or small business support network

Expand workforce training and education programs

Support downtown revitalization or housing projects

Promote Lake County's natural and cultural assets to boost tourism

Host Community

Lake County is building on its historic and natural strengths --- including the Idlewild community, lakes, forests, and trails --- to foster economic diversification and opportunity for residents and visitors alike.

About CEDAM & CWETO

CEDAM is a nonprofit trade association advancing community and economic development across Michigan. The Community & Worker Economic Transition Office (CWETO) partners with communities to prepare for shifts in Michigan's economy, especially in energy and manufacturing sectors.
