Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Maintain farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools or farm workers. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks. Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops. Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Farming with: Corn, Soy Beans, Spring Wheat Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Are able, willing and qualified to perform the work. Worker must possess documentation required to enable employer to comply with the employment verification requirements of IRCA. Accurate completion of Form I-9 will be required of each worker within (3) days of employment pursuant to U.S. Law. Employer will abide by the requirements and assurances of 20 CFR 653.501 in the processing and/or hiring of individuals referred through the clearance system.
