GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Accounts Receivable Clerk performs basic accounting functions that post and balance the daily ledger.

ENTRY LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a high school education or an equivalent of a GED. Must be proficient at keyboarding.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Apply customer payments.

· Research and solve payment discrepancies.

· Process credit card payments and credits.

· Make adjustments to accounts as needed.

· Check the daily deposit before it is sent to the bank.

· Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

Knowledge of personal computer and Microsoft office. A/P data entry for invoices.

Ability to use a variety of Office Equipment and Microsoft Office Programs.

Assigned projects by supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

General working hours for this position will be from 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime only approved through supervisor

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

Kneeling - bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.

Crouching - bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

Sedentary work - exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; prolonged periods of sitting.

Standing - particularly for sustained periods of time.

Walking - moving about on foot to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another.
