McGraw Hill LLC seeks a Senior Engineer in Columbus, OH.

Duties: Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC). Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions. Write well-designed, testable & tested code. Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility. Integrate software components into a fully functional software system. Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures. Document and maintain software functionality. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems. Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback. Comply with project plans and industry standards. Collaborate and mentor with peers to share knowledge

Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or foreign equivalent) plus 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer or related occupation.

Requires 7 years of experience with:

Developing software in languages such as JavaScript/ NodeJS/ Typescript and other programming languages such as PHP, Java Relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies

Writing comprehensive tests using solutions such as Cypress, React Testing Library, PHPUnit, Junit, etc

Software engineering tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Visual Studio Code and NVDA

DevOps tools and Cloud Computing Providers such as AWS, Docker/Containers, Github Actions, etc

Requires 6 years of experience designing interactive applications

Requires 5 years of experience with:

Developing web applications using at least one popular web framework such as ReactJS or Angular

Test-driven development

Telecommuting is permitted.
