The Instrument and Electrical Maintenance Technician's primary roles are the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of various instrument and electrical components and systems at the Matagorda High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) manufacturing facility, located 13 miles south of Bay City, TX. Instrument and electrical equipment at the Matagorda complex includes a wide variety of levels, pressure, temperature, and flow transmitters, control valves, Emerson Provox and Delta V process controls, PLCs, electric motors up to 9000 HP, low, medium, and high voltage switchgear.

Execute scheduled work by:

Reviewing assigned job scopes for completeness and understanding.

Acquiring all necessary parts, tools, and instructions prior to starting the job to maximize work efficiency.

Following all necessary safety procedures and practices to isolate, clear, and work on plant equipment.

Ensuring work is completed per company and industry standards.

Working with equipment owners to complete tasks in a safe and timely manner.

Updating supervisor on job progress and any problems encountered in completing the defined scope of work.

Completing all documentation using a computerized maintenance management system.

Workweek Details:

The candidate must be willing and able to work outside, year-round under various weather conditions. Our chemical plants and refinery are 24-hour, 365 days per year operations.
