Warehouse Specialist

Luxfer Magtech specializes in developing, manufacturing, and supplying a broad range of products that safeguard and protect, from infrared countermeasure flares that protect pilots from incoming missiles and chemical response kits designed to help safeguard life in chemical warfare attacks, to nutritious food and beverage options for militaries and first responders.

Position Purpose:

The Warehouse Specialist supports all warehouse and material flow operations including material picking, staging, and line replenishment. This role ensures materials and finished goods are moved accurately, safely, and efficiently to support production and customer delivery. This position is Monday - Friday.

Main Responsibilities:

Material Handling

Pull and stage raw materials and components for production lines according to daily schedules

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move product throughout the facility

Stage finished goods for shipping and customer delivery

Verify accuracy of picked materials and packaging before delivery

Label and stock materials in assigned warehouse locations using FIFO/FEFO rotation

Maintain clear staging areas, dock organization, and proper placement of inbound goods

Inventory Control & Documentation

Perform daily cycle counts; investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies

Perform inventory and material transfer transactions between warehouse and production operations to support accurate real-time material flow

Utilize Epicor systems for real-time inventory transactions

Tag, label, and maintain lot traceability and product identification standards

Safety & Housekeeping

Conduct pre-shift PIT inspections and report equipment or safety issues promptly

Maintain clean, clear aisles, docks, and staging areas to support a safe work environment

Follow all site safety policies, PPE requirements, and hazard reporting procedures

Support annual and periodic physical inventories

Cross-Functional Support

Provide operational support to other warehouse functions as needed

Participate in cross-training to ensure flexible team coverage

Support shift coverage during unplanned overtime and call-in events

Collaborate with other departments to maintain efficient material flow

Treat internal and external customers with courtesy and professionalism

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required

Some experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handling preferred

Experience operating Forklift preferred

Experience using inventory control or ERP systems preferred

Experience with Epicor a plus

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Willing and able to support unplanned overtime and call-in coverage when required

While not required, basic knowledge or prior exposure to business operations involving:

Government contracting environments (e.g., International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR))

United States Department of Transportation (DOT) hazmat shipping requirements

International shipping and receiving processes is considered beneficial and may enhance job performance
