About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Administrator to support our workers' compensation cases by coordinating medical and administrative aspects of auto accident and injured worker claims. This is a non-clinical role focused on administrative tasks, patient scheduling, third party correspondence, communication, and process facilitation.

Responsibilities

Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently using electronic scheduling systems

Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner

Send and receive fax transmissions, including medical records, referrals, and prescriptions

Coordinate patient care by communicating with providers, specialists, labs, pharmacies, and insurance companies

Verify patient insurance information and assist with pre-authorizations when needed

Greet patients and handle check-in/check-out procedures

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and office files

Manage incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence

Assist with billing questions and basic administrative tasks

Ensure the office environment remains clean, organized, and welcoming

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or medical office training preferred

1--2 years of experience in a medical office, dental office, or similar healthcare setting (preferred)

Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
